Why was Royal Crusade created?

We're big fans of online games with meaningful PvP and progression. However, it is difficult to find such a game that is fair, values your time, and is friendly to new players.

Fairness

To make sure everyone has an equal chance of winning, regardless of financial means, we do not sell anything that aids your progression in any way. That includes access to the game, which is free.

We also regularly launch new worlds, where every player starts from scratch. This is a core element of the game, as it allows new players to compete with veterans, if their strategy is solid.

Valuing your time

While we do want players to feel enthousiastic about our game, we do not want to punish players for taking a break. To achieve this, we try to prioritize the impact of strategy.

We also decided to give every world a set duration. The world's ending is meant to provide the player with a sense of completeness and closure.

New player friendly

PvP is at the core of our game. As such, we want to let players enjoy it from the very start. Our philosophy is that no matter your skill and progression, there should always be an opportunity for you to have an impact.

Royal Crusade's map encourages players to get as close to the center of the map as they possibly can. This means that stronger players will naturally gravitate towards the center, pushing out weaker players. Meanwhile, new players will spawn close to the edge, surrounded by weaker players.

To make the introduction as fun as possible, the game plays in an incremental fashion. You start off with a few simple features, but the game gradually gets more complicated as you unlock more features.
